Pike in Distributed Knowledge Environments
The University of Paderborn, Germany will host this years Pike Conference. Main topic of this years conference will be "Pike in distributed knowledge environments". Pike with its fast, flexible and reliable implementation already provides the backbone for some interesting internet technology.
Since Pike development and maintenance has been handed over to Linköping University, Pike opened it's application base towards the support of the semantic web. Overall it gained some interesting development for scientific uses.
For this years Pike Conference we invite Pike Programmers all over the world to meet in Paderborn, to discuss and present how Pike is used, which development has been done and what direction the development should take in the future.
Paderborn University, "The university of the information society" has an outstanding record in information technology. The conference site is located next to the Heinz Nixdorf MuseumsForum, the world´s largest computer museum which covers the cultural history of writing, drawing and calculating up to tomorrows virtual environments. The city of Paderborn is located in the middle of Germany and has became a centre of IT-related businesses. Easy connections by plane, train, and car (autobahn) are provided.
You are invited to present papers, run workshops or present posters during the conference. Material presented this way should be submitted in advance to allow a proper schedule during the conference. Please provide an abstract describing your work until September 1. (submission deadline)
